Lesson Pricing Update – Effective June 2026

This notice is to inform you about an upcoming change in our lesson pricing, which will take effect from June 2026

Reason for the Price Adjustment

For many years, we have worked hard to keep our Learn to Swim program affordable, stable, and competitively priced. We review our pricing carefully and only make changes when absolutely necessary. As we move into June 2026, significant increases across several core operating costs, many of which are affecting the entire aquatic industry. This means we need to adjust our lesson fees to ensure we can continue delivering the high‑quality program families expect.

BELOW IS WHAT THE NOTICE ON ICLASS WILL LINK TO

In full transparency of our decision, here are the main factors contributing to this necessary adjustment:

Energy Costs: Maintaining a consistently warm 33‑degree pool environment is essential for safe, effective learning, especially for young swimmers. Heating large bodies of water, running filtration systems, and keeping our facilities safely lit and ventilated requires substantial energy. With energy prices rising sharply in recent years, the cost of maintaining this standard has increased well beyond previous levels. This adjustment helps us continue providing a comfortable, reliable, and safe learning environment every day.

Insurance Premiums: The safety of our students, families, and staff is our highest priority. To uphold this commitment, we maintain comprehensive insurance coverage that reflects the nature of aquatic education. Like many organisations, we have experienced significant increases in insurance premiums due to broader changes in the insurance market. These policies are essential to ensuring a secure environment and protecting our community.

Wages and Training: Our instructors are the heart of our program. To deliver high‑quality lessons, we invest heavily in ongoing staff training, professional development, and industry‑standard qualifications. Competitive wages are vital for attracting and retaining skilled, passionate instructors who create positive learning experiences for every swimmer. As wage costs and training requirements continue to rise, this adjustment ensures we can support our team and maintain the standard of teaching our families value.

Make-up Classes: We know families appreciate flexibility, and we remain committed to offering make‑up classes where possible. Providing these additional sessions requires extra staffing, pool space, and administrative support. As the cost of delivering this flexibility has increased, the price adjustment helps us continue offering make‑up options sustainably.

Despite our best efforts to absorb these costs, we find it necessary to make adjustment to our pricing.
